A Poem: Coulda

I could have kissed you
in a trendy club bathroom,
knees buckling from desire
only being held up by my
germaphobic need to avoid
the toilet.
I could have kissed you
in the rain, slippery skin and

lubricious
lips not caring that the skies were
trying to get us home and out of
the street.
I could have kissed you
in a elementary school rhyme
surrounded by lacy leaves
with only the smell of cherry blossoms
and a few voyeuristic
finches peeping at us.
Instead, I kissed you
in a Toyota Corrola at the
trailer park, just after
you forgot your wallet
for our first date on a Monday,
because, honestly,
how could I not?

El Cumple de Mi Novio

Somehow this post got deleted. Ugh.
One year ago today*, surrounded by our closest friends,
Lee and I secretly held hands underneath the armrest at Iron Man 2.

*May 8, 2011 was Lee's 23rd birthday.
In his honor I will post 8 of my favorite things about him. 2 birthday wishes and 3 secrets I never told him.
1. I adore the face you make when you're surprised! It's cuter than this.
2. Your love language = gifts. [He fought that forever] It makes lovin you sooo easyyyy.
3. You let me smell your skin after you shave. I'm a weirdy.
4. You know what this means: ily7-0.
5. Songs always answer you when you ask them questions ;)
6. Hellooooo! No ones a better singer or dancer than you. NO ONE!
7.  You jump and skip and roll all over the place. Its pretty cute!
8.  I can sit in your lap when my lawn chair is wet because you're twice my size!

1. I hope you get to eat 3 lbs of meat on your birthday at Chama Goucha! ;)
2. I hope 23 brings you happiness, Jesus, and a diamond ring for your ladyfriend ;)

1. Oh wait
2. we don't
3. keep secrets.
Happy Birthday sweetheart!

Yum!

I hear it all the time:
"Aren't you glad I cook for you all the time?"
"Ya know most boyfriend's don't cook for their girlfriends."
"You know I love you because I always cook for you."
I KNOW. I KNOW. I KNOW!
Sir Morgan you are theeeeee best cook second only to my grandma.

So I made healthy pizza basically to say "BAM! I reclaim my area.
I am WOMAN. This is my KITCHEN. Step on out, farmboy!"
(My dad actually calls Lee farm boy. Endearingly... I think.)
It turned out wonderfully!
Salami, spinach, and fresh mozzerella.
We used store bought pita bread. Make your own and put fresh oregano, black pepper, and rosemary in the dough.
A thin layer of sauce, pile on the ingredients
and PRESTO MAGNIFICO BON APPETITE HOLY MOLY!
You've got a bangin' pizza.

Tip: You can't cook pizza on aluminum foil! It refracts heat. "Refracts" meaning it pushes the heat away. I never know words ;) but the point it that it won't cook the bottom of your pizza!
